Volleyball Recap: North Pitt Comes Up Short + How To Watch

North Pitt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Southside Seahawks, falling 3-0. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Seahawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

While North Pitt was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-15, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Abigail Gaskins and Brea Moore, who picked up four kills apiece. Gaskins really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with seven. Aiza Zamora controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Southside was led to victory by Annalynn Silverthorne and Elanor Davis. Silverthorne had six digs and two aces, while Davis had eight digs. The dominant performance also gave Silverthorne a new career-high in assists (22).

North Pitt's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Southside, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3.

North Pitt has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against West Craven on the 28th. Hopefully Southside paid attention to the Panthers' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
