Soccer Recap: Kearney Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Kearney has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pembroke Hill Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Kearney of the 4-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Kearney's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Pembroke Hill, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Kearney didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-0 victory against Excelsior Springs on the 6th. As for Pembroke Hill, they will square off against Van Horn at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
