Baseball Recap: Bishop McNamara Comes Up Short

Bishop McNamara lost against Paul VI back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Bishop McNamara fell 8-4 to Paul VI. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Willis Coppedge made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamryn Knott, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Bishop McNamara's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Paul VI, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop McNamara will square off against Gonzaga at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Paul VI, they will face off against St. Mary's Ryken at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Mary's Ryken will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Paul VI surely won't give up without a fight.
