Baseball Game Preview: Redmond Panthers vs. Caldera

For the second straight game, Redmond will face off against Caldera. The Panthers will host Caldera at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Redmond has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 15.

Redmond is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since April 4th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Caldera by a score of 7-5.

For Caldera's part, Griffin Sanchez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Brody Whitcomb was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Zach Patterson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Redmond's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Caldera, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.
