Tipton can attribute much of their success to Clara Williams, who shot 41% from the field to rack up 18 points along with seven rebounds and five steals, and Ava Schlotzhauer, who almost dropped a double-double with 25 points and nine boards. Williams has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 15 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Carvajal, who posted nine points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.
Tipton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Bartlett had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 61-48. The game marked the Panthers' most dominant victory of the season so far.
Tipton better focus on containing Amare Boothe and Anniya Bailey as the pair were huge in Bartlett's win. Boothe went 7-for-16 en route to 22 points, while Bailey shot 56% from the field on her way to 12 points. Aaliyah Davis was another key player, putting up four points and three steals.
Bartlett's record now sits at 4-2. As for Tipton, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Tipton has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 34.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Bartlett struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.7 rebounds.
