Basketball Game Preview: Wright Panthers vs. Tongue River Eagles

The Wright Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Tongue River Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wright knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Tongue River likes a good challenge.

Wright was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Wind River on Saturday. The Panthers blew past the Cougars 75-46. The Panthers pushed the score to 57-31 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cougars had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, Tongue River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They were beaten by Sundance 66-35. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Wright's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Tongue River, their loss dropped their record down to 1-18.

Wright was able to grind out a solid victory over Tongue River when the teams last played back in January, winning 66-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
