Basketball Recap: Hamilton Heights Christian Academy Regional Comes Up Short

Hamilton Heights Christian Academy Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 72-66 heartbreaker at the hands of the Roane County Yellowjackets.

Aiden O'Leary was his usual excellent self, shooting 57% from beyond the arc to rack up 36 points and five rebounds for Roane County. That makes it six consecutive games in which O'Leary has scored at least a third of the Yellowjackets' points. Bless Oleary was another key player, going 6-for-9 on his way to 18 points along with six steals and five boards.

Hamilton Heights Christian Academy Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Roane County, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

Hamilton Heights Christian Academy Regional will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Berean Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 16, 2026. As for Roane County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 85-43 defeat against Hardin Valley Academy on the 13th.
