Soccer Recap: Lindsay Finds Playoff Glory Versus Mission Oak

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lindsay had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Mission Oak Hawks out 4-3. The victory continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won five in a row.

Lindsay hit Mission Oak with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Andres Perez (2), Bryan Martinez, and Carlos Torres.

Lindsay's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 37 goals over those seven contests. As for Mission Oak, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-6 record this season.

Coming up, Lindsay will square off against Redwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lindsay knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Redwood likes a good challenge. Mission Oak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
