Basketball Recap: River Ridge Picks Up 27th Consecutive Victory

River Ridge had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Milton Eagles, posting a 91-64 victory. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 20 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

River Ridge's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Finley Parker, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Parker's third in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Kayla Cleaveland, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards.

The win (which was River Ridge's 27th in a row) raised their record to 30-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points over those games. As for Milton, with the defeat, they broke their 11-game winning streak and moved their record to 24-7.

Looking ahead, River Ridge will take on Langston Hughes at 5:30 p.m. on March 7th. Langston Hughes will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something River Ridge surely won't give up without a fight. Milton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
