Rapid City Central came into Monday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Sturgis Brown Scoopers on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cobblers have posted since August 30th.

Rapid City Central took Sturgis Brown into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-10, 22-25, 13-25, 15-7.

Rapid City Central's win bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Sturgis Brown, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-21.
