Volleyball Game Preview: Lyons Lions vs. Normal Community Ironmen

The Lyons Lions will be taking part in a tournament against the Normal Community Ironmen at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

On Wednesday, Lyons came up short against Mother McAuley and fell 2-0. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Normal Community waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 2-0.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Normal Community was: they took both sets by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-9.

Lyons' loss dropped their record down to 21-11. As for Normal Community, their victory bumped their record up to 28-5.

Lyons couldn't quite get it done against Normal Community in their previous meeting back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
