Recap: Corinth Holders Pirates vs. Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs
The Corinth Holders Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They suffered a tough 71-47 loss at the hands of Southeast Raleigh. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Corinth Holders in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Corinth Holders still got an impressive performance from Max Carlson, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaylon Holder, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
Corinth Holders dropped their record down to 1-18 with that loss, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Southeast Raleigh, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
Corinth Holders won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Rams at 7:45 p.m. on January 31st. Cleveland presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Pirates in North Carolina (the Rams are ranked 272nd, while the Pirates are ranked 567th). As for Southeast Raleigh, they will head out on the road to square off against the Bengals at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Fuquay - Varina focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
