Baseball Recap: Floresville Tigers/Jaguars vs. Cuero Gobblers

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Floresville had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Cuero Gobblers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers/Jaguars.

Jaden Moreno made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
