Silver Lake waltzed into their game on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 45-44 W against the Blue Hill Bobcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 33-19 back in January.

Silver Lake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sophie Schmidt led the charge by putting up 16 points and six steals. Schmidt has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Makenna Karr, who posted 11 points and eight boards.

Silver Lake was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Blue Hill only posted three assists.

Blue Hill's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reece Mlady, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Avaley Toepfer, who had 12 points and seven boards.

Silver Lake's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Blue Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Silver Lake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-34 defeat against Shelton on the 8th. As for Blue Hill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 56-34 loss against Red Cloud on the 8th.
