Spring Creek's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Sparks with a sharp 20-0 win. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 15 runs or more this season.
Ava Cauley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hannah Montoya, who scored four runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. MacKenzie Morfin was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Spring Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .806. They are 6-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Dayton fell victim to Carson and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Senators. The Dust Devils' loss signaled the end of their undefeated season.
Spring Creek has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Dayton fell to 9-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Spring Creek has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Dayton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
