Basketball Recap: East Harlem Comes Up Short

East Harlem lost against Douglass Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. East Harlem fell 55-42 to the Douglass Academy Lions. While losing is never fun, East Harlem can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 390th, while Douglass Academy is ranked 73rd).

East Harlem's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Douglass Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

East Harlem will challenge Environmental at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Harlem is facing Environmental at the right time seeing as Environmental is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Douglass Academy has already played their next game (against Collegiate), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
