Springstead extended their postseason success on Saturday against New Smyrna Beach. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Barracudas. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Barracudas on Thursday, they had to take a 7-5 loss.

Springstead saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joey Rief, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Rief has posted since back in March.

Springstead has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.
