Softball Recap: Valley View Snags Ninth Win in Last Ten Games

Valley View's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Abington Heights on Wednesday. The Cougars never let the Scranton Knights get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Kalli Karwowski was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 4-for-4. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Zoie Krupovich was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Valley View has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Scranton, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley View will face off against Scranton Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Scranton, they will welcome Delaware Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
