Football Recap: Cougar Stockham's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Gooding over Buhl + How To Watch

Gooding might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was Buhl who claimed the real prize. The Senators took a 39-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. The Senators were up 14-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Several Senators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cougar Stockham, who threw for 227 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 33 yards. Rio Curtis also helped with two TDs in total.

Gooding's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Buhl, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Gooding is set to take on their familiar foe Filer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Stockham and Tristan Rea. Meanwhile, Buhl will challenge rival Kimberly at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
