Recap: Young Americans Christian Eagles vs. Sherwood Christian Academy Eagles
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Young Americans Christian Eagles can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Sherwood Christian Academy on Friday, falling 65-38. Young Americans Christian's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jayden Sigur, who rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 17 yards and a touchdown. Joshua Adams was in the mix too, providing Young Americans Christian with two touchdowns.
Young Americans Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Sherwood Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 11-0 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Young Americans Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sherwood Christian Academy will face off against Unity Christian at TBD on Friday. Unity Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
