Football Recap: Turpin Spartans vs. Kings Knights
Turpin lost against Kings back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spartans fell 38-26 to the Knights. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Knights are ranked 41st).
When it comes to explaining why Turpin lost, don't look at Luke Mileham. Despite the final result, he threw for 210 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 30 yards. 81 of Mileham's passing yards were hauled in by Callan Poland.
Grant Nurre was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 242 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 42 yards and one score.
Turpin now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Kings, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for the Spartans and seven for the Eagles. Meanwhile, Kings will face off against rival Walnut Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
