Basketball Recap: Ashbrook Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Ashbrook played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 46-7 loss at the hands of the East Lincoln Mustangs. The Greenwave haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Ashbrook used a three-pronged attack on offense: Samaria Lomick, Jazmin Sumter, and Nicole Cherry posted two points each. Cherry also led the team in rebounds with five.

Emma Montanari was a one-woman wrecking crew For East Lincoln. as she dropped a triple-double with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 steals. Montanari has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 20 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sidney Dann, who shot 83% from the field to rack up 10 points.

Ashbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ashbrook will welcome North Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Greenwave will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for East Lincoln, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Lincolnton at 1:00 p.m.
