Centerville's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Northmont Thunderbolts as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Elks in their matchups with the Thunderbolts: they've now won five in a row.

While Centerville won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-23, 25-12.

Their offense was headlined by Sean Chaudhuri and Liam Sease, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Adam Beeler and his 15 assists. Sease also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Caden Peterson, racking up three apiece.

Centerville's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Northmont, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Centerville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against St. Ignatius on the 12th. As for Northmont, they will take on Ponitz Career Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Thunderbolts are facing the Golden Panthers at the right time seeing as the Golden Panthers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
