Basketball Recap: Sardis Comes Up Short

Sardis came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 65-37 loss at the hands of the Albertville Aggies. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sardis fell to 4-1. As for Albertville, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sardis will challenge Springville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Albertville, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fort Payne at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
