Basketball Recap: Westerville Central Comes Up Short

Westerville Central lost against Grove City back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Westerville Central Warhawks fell 52-39 to the Grove City Greyhounds. While losing is never fun, the Warhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 34th).

Westerville Central's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Grove City, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

When Westerville Central and Grove City next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Westerville Central will try to stop Independence's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Grove City will challenge Reynoldsburg and their three-game winning streak at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
