Basketball Recap: Somers Takes a Loss

Somers lost against Ellington back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Somers Spartans lost 62-40 to the Ellington Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Spartans have suffered against the Knights since January 3, 2017.

Somers now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Ellington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-6.

Somers has already played their next contest (against Coventry), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Ellington, they will take on Stonington at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Stonington will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Ellington surely won't give up without a fight.
