Softball Recap: Curlew Cougars vs. Wellpinit Redskins
In what's become a running theme this season, Curlew gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They blew past the Wellpinit Redskins 26-2. While fans of Curlew might be used to big wins, the 24-run margin marked the team's biggest one yet.
Curlew got a massive performance out of Melissa Bineau, who scored five runs and stole five bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Bineau is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Malia Sonsteng, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4.
The win (which was Curlew's fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-8-1. As for Wellpinit, they haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-18.
