Baseball Recap: Haynesville Comes Up Short

Haynesville has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.11 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They came up short against the Byrd Yellow Jackets, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Golden Tornado's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Haynesville dropped their record down to 11-7-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Byrd, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-20-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Haynesville will take on North Caddo at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Byrd, they will square off against Parkway at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
