Football Recap: Interlachen Comes Up Short

Interlachen's last matchup with Crescent City could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Thursday. The Interlachen Rams were outmatched by the Crescent City Raiders and fell 27-0. The Rams just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Interlachen didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kylie Frady and Emma Ford. Ford is crushing it when it comes to interceptions: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Crescent City found their leader in sophomore T'Meriya Johnson, who rushed for 76 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries. Parker Bornstein made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Interlachen's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Crescent City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Interlachen will be playing in front of their home fans against Hilliard at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crescent City, they will face off against Menendez at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Crescent City 6.3, Menendez 11.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
