 Green Hope fell victim to Apex and their airtight pitching crew  on Monday. They lost  11-0 to the Apex Cougars. Having soared to a lofty 12  runs in the game before, Green Hope's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Green Hope saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Mason Dean, who  went 2-for-2 with a  stolen base and a  double. Dean is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games he's  played.
 On Apex's side,  Cranz Smelcer looked comfortable as he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Drew Berenyi was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with four  RBI and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Will Newton, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Green Hope has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record  this season. As for Apex, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.
