Galena had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Galena's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for River Ridge/Scales Mound, they dropped their record down to 7-14 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Galena will welcome Lena-Winslow at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. River Ridge/Scales Mound will be paying especially close attention to the Pirates' game: after the Pirates face off against the Panthers, they'll take on River Ridge/Scales Mound again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
