Volleyball Recap: Cornerstone Family Saints vs. Blue Ridge Christian Warriors
After flying high against Kansas School for the Deaf on Tuesday, Cornerstone Family came back down to earth. The Saints fell just short of the Blue Ridge Christian Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Saints were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 3-0.
Molly Hall paced Cornerstone Family's offense, picking up four kills. Hall got some help from Kinsley Juedes and her four assists. Juedes was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
Cornerstone Family's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Blue Ridge Christian, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 11-8.
Cornerstone Family didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Shawnee Mission Christian on the 11th. As for Blue Ridge Christian, they will challenge Overland Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
