Softball Recap: Fike Takes a Loss

Fike came into this matchup off a tough six-run defeat on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the East Wake Warriors by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. The Demons haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Fike saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Sharp, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

Fike's record now sits at 1-9. As for East Wake, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fike will welcome Southern Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fike is facing Southern Wayne at the right time seeing as Southern Wayne is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for East Wake, they will be playing at home against South Johnston at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Johnston will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something East Wake surely won't give up without a fight.
