Taft waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Santiam Christian Eagles get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Zack Hankins made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 18 over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Trenton Battle was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Taft was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santiam Christian only posted a batting average of .048.

Taft's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Santiam Christian, they moved to 19-4 with that defeat, which also ended their 17-game winning streak.
