Baseball Recap: Simeon Gets the Win

Simeon's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 14-10 win over the Solorio Sun Warriors. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Sun Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Simeon got a massive performance out of Aiden Pondexter, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Pondexter is becoming a predictor of the Wolverines' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Quincy Washington was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Simeon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Simeon's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Solorio, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
