Volleyball Recap: El Capitan Vaqueros vs. El Camino Wildcats
El Capitan lost against El Camino back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Vaqueros fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1.
Jacob Marquez paced El Capitan's offense, picking up ten kills. Marquez really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with nine. Neil Perkins controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
El Capitan has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-13 record this season. As for El Camino, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-18.
El Capitan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Point Loma on the 26th. As for El Camino, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Coronado on the 26th.
