Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grainger). They put the hurt on the Greeneville Greene Devils with a sharp 18-11 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Grizzlies, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Grace Lincoln was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Jaylee Nickell was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. McKinley Mills also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Grainger and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Greeneville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grainger will challenge Knoxville Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Greeneville, they will face off against Chuckey-Doak at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Greeneville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.
