Basketball Recap: Maplewood Comes Up Short

Maplewood lost against Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Maplewood Panthers fell 65-53 to the Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet Royals.

Maplewood's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Coming up, Maplewood will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hume-Fogg at 7:30 p.m. Hume-Fogg will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Maplewood surely won't give up without a fight. As for Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet, they will take on Lawson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.3 points per game this season.
