Durango is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Bonanza get on the board and left with a 4-0 win.

The result came thanks to Teagan Payne's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ayden Perera was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Carson Crosby, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Sierra Vista faced Legacy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Mountain Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the Longhorns, sneaking past 1-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mountain Lions have posted since April 3rd.

Sierra Vista saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Credico, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Sierra Vista has been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Durango, their victory bumped their record up to 24-6.
