Football Recap: Kinston Bulldogs vs. Red Level Tigers
Kinston's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 29-22 to the Red Level Tigers. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
When it comes to explaining why Kinston lost, don't look at Judd Green. Despite the final result, he picked up 93 receiving yards, and also rushed for 81 yards on only ten carries.
Shambrian Mayes went supernova For Red Level., rushing for 128 yards and two TDs while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. That's the most rushing touchdowns Mayes has posted since back in September of 2024. Malique Copeland was another key player, rushing for 127 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries.
