Basketball Recap: Ferris Comes Up Short

Ferris's last matchup with Kennedale could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Saturday. The Yellowjackets had to suffer through a 73-44 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost nine in a row.

Ferris' loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Kennedale, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Ferris and Kennedale will both be playing Hillsboro the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will host the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Yellowjackets will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
