Brother Rice and St. Mary's Prep are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2016, but not for long. The Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Eaglets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Given the Eaglets' advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked fifth in Michigan, while the Fighting Irish are ranked 45th in Ohio) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Mary's Prep and bumps their season record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 21 points in those games. As for Brother Rice, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-4.

Brother Rice was dealt a bruising 51-10 loss at the hands of St. Mary's Prep in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Warriors, Bryson Williams (who picked up 107 receiving yards, and also rushed for 37 yards and one touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
