Basketball Recap: Steele Canyon Comes Up Short

After flying high against San Dieguito Academy last Friday, Steele Canyon came back down to earth. The Steele Canyon Cougars were beaten by the Scripps Ranch Falcons 81-52 on Saturday. The Cougars have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Steele Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Scripps Ranch, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Steele Canyon will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on La Costa Canyon at 3:00 p.m. on January 11, 2025. As for Scripps Ranch, they will take on Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
