A well-balanced attack led South Aiken over Strom Thurmond in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Thoroughbreds blew the Rebels out of the water with a 72-29 final score. With the Thoroughbreds ahead 33-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Leading South Aiken to victory were Kyson McLeod and Aiden Lee. McLeod made all 8 shots he took to post 17 points, while Lee posted ten points and four steals. Brycen Atterberry also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

South Aiken was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Strom Thurmond only posted one.

Strom Thurmond's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ry Rouse, who had nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zac Gartrell, who earned four points and eight boards.

The victory made it two in a row for South Aiken and bumps their season record up to 2-2. As for Strom Thurmond, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
