Bixby's Chase Boles stole the show in the Oklahoma All-State football game, throwing for 252 yards and three touchdown passes as the East squad erased a 15-point deficit before defeating the West squad, 20-15.
Boles, who plans on attending a Community College in the fall after receiving no offers to continue his football career, hit Miami's Zach Simpson on all three scoring strikes. Boles hit Simpson on a 53-yard pass in the second quarter to put the East squad on the scoreboard.
Simpson finished the contest with 140 receiving yards on five receptions, including a pair of 36-yard touchdown receptions.
Incoming Oklahoma freshman Jimmy Stevens (Heritage Hall) kicked a 46-yard field goal to cap the West scoring in the first quarter. Stevens holds the national record for field goals made in a season and career. Stevens booted 22 field goals in 2005, and finished his career with 50.
Okeene's Brady Wardlaw scored on a 1-yard scoring plunge to open the scoring for the West. Guthrie's Demarcus Davis added to the lead with a 42-yard interception return for a score to put the West in front, 12-0.
After Stevens' field goal, it was all Boles and the East.
