Noblesville's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Yorktown Tigers as they made off with a 9-1 victory. Considering the Millers have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Addison Retzinger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Addi Emmerson and Haley Schatko did most of the damage at the plate: Emmerson went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Schatko went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Emmerson has posted since back in April. Maggie Kern was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run.
Noblesville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
