Doniphan-Trumbull skates past Blue Hill with ease

The Doniphan-Trumbull Cardinals had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past Blue Hill 68-19 on the road. With Doniphan-Trumbull ahead 36-9 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Doniphan-Trumbull found their leader in underclassman Jack Poppe, who scored 16 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds. Luke Askey was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 5 rebounds.
Doniphan-Trumbull's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Blue Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Doniphan-Trumbull will head out on the road to face off against St. Paul at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Blue Hill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alma on Thursday.
