Baseball Recap: Wayland Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Wayland's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newton South Lions on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Wayland's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Newton South, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wayland will challenge Arlington Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newton South, they will take on Shepherd Hill Regional at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
