Softball Recap: Darien Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Darien's offense. They came up short against the Danbury Hatters on Monday, falling 6-0. The Blue Wave were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hatters apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Darien's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Danbury, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 12-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Darien will face off against rival Ludlowe at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Wave 1.7, the Falcons 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Danbury is set to take on their familiar foe Ridgefield at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
