Softball Recap: Southern Takes a Loss

Southern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-1 to the Jeffersontown Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-3 two weeks ago.

Southern's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Jeffersontown, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7.

Looking ahead, Southern will welcome Moore at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jeffersontown, they will take on Whitefield Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.89 runs per game on average), something the Chargers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
